And here's where we post a felting project, step by step.  So that I can (attempt) to get it onto Pinterest.  I hope my blog isn't offended; I think blogging might actually be fun!
ok, needle felting part is done.  Note the needle sticking through the project into the very thick foam, which receives the sharp jabbing motion, which connects the wool roving to the Artfelt paper.

I've wetted the wool with water and covered it with plastic (Saran Wrap).

 ...rolled it up...

...and jammed it into a sock.  Into the dryer for typically 30 minutes, maybe 45.  However long it takes to felt as much as I want it to.

It has come out of the dryer and into the bathtub so that I can pour boiling water over it.  This dissolves the Artfelt paper, which goes down the drain.  If any paper remains on the wool, it'll be sticky/slimy, and when it dries it turns back to white and is very hard.  In the future I'll flip it over and pour boiling water on BOTH sides.

Finished product.  Drying on dog crate/drying rack!

It's all about Pinterest.

Well, I'm breaking down and starting a blog, with the sole purpose of pinning pictures of my art and crafting to Pinterest.  Here we go!
My latest piece: a gift for a friend and her partner.  They gave me hair from their three horses' tails, and I braided with them (Kumihimo on a Miru Dai) and created some grass with it.  Their only request was purple.

So far so good!  Next I'll post a felting project, step by step.
